| City Council Public Hearing on January 13th. |

City Council will hold a public hearing at its January 13th Council meeting, 6:30 p.m. at 9830 Confederate Park Road, Lakeside, to consider public input regarding the proposal to submit an application to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for a matching grant. These grant monies, if received, will be used to upgrade the Town’s park with new equipment and features which may include playground equipment, a covered pavilion/picnic area, a gazebo, a walking/bike trail, a fountain, and resurfacing of the tennis courts. Staff has prepared a survey regarding park improvements and asks that citizens complete the survey and return it to Town Hall.  |

Food Drive: November 1st - November 23rd.
In support of the Tarrant Area Food Bank, the Town of Lakeside is having a food drive. The Tarrant Area Food Bank (TAFB) works to eliminate hunger in Fort Worth and
13 surrounding counties by providing food, education and other resources to a network of hunger-relief charities and their communities. Donated items can be brought to Town Hall from November 1st to November 23rd. Then on November 24th, staff will take the items to the TAFB Warehouse. Items will then be distributed as needed to area food pantries supported by the Food Bank.
Whatever you can do to help end hunger is greatly appreciated! |
