Chesapeake Energy is currently scheduled to begin consecutive hydraulic fracturing (fracing) operations on the Weaver 1H and Lakeside 1H wells on Wednesday, January 25, 2012. Fracing is a proven and safe technology that makes it possible to recover natural gas from deep shale formations such as the Barnett. Fracing the wells consecutively will allow us to reduce the number of times we will need to return to the site to frac.

Fracing will be conducted during daylight hours and will take about five to six days to complete each well. Per the Lakeside ordinance, fracing will not occur on Sundays. More details about this process can be found online by visiting HydraulicFracturing.com.
